What is United Finance Mobile Application (UMA)?

United Finance Mobile Application (UMA) is the primary client platform for United Finance customers, offering a comprehensive, user-friendly experience. UMA allows users to manage their financial services securely, with features including account overviews, service requests, deposit and loan applications, balance inquiries, and feedback options.

Who can register for UMA?

Any individual (new or existing customer) with a valid mobile number and email address can register for UMA. For existing customers, the mobile number and email address must match the details previously provided to United Finance.

What are the steps for registration in UMA?

To register for UMA, users must complete the following steps:

1. Enter personal information (Name, Valid Mobile Number, and Valid Email Address).
2. Choose a unique User ID for personalized access.
3. Validate the mobile number using the OTP sent to the user's device.
4. Set up a strong password for secured account access.

How can I log in to my UMA account?

To log in to your UMA account, enter your registered mobile number or unique User ID, along with your password.

What happens if I forget my password?

You can reset your password by selecting the "Forgot Password" option on login page. Follow the instructions to verify your identity and set a new password.

What devices support the UMA?

UMA is available on Android and iOS devices, as well as a web version for seamless cross-platform access. It supports a range of devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. For optimal performance, ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements and is connected to a stable internet connection. To access the web version, use a supported browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, or Safari.

What type of information is available in UMA?

UMA provides comprehensive information about your accounts (Deposit & Loan), including:

1. Personal Information
2. Contact Information
3. Details of your individual Deposit/Loan accounts (linked to your registered mobile number)
4. Summaries of active and closed accounts

As the application contains sensitive financial data, please ensure your credentials remain secure and confidential. United Finance will never request your UMA credentials under any circumstances.

What security features does UMA offer to protect my information?

UMA incorporates multiple layers of security to safeguard user data and transactions, including:

1. OTP Verification for sensitive actions
2. CAPTCHA Validation to prevent unauthorized access
3. Biometric Verification during deposit account opening
4. Secure, Encrypted Payment Gateway for all financial transactions

These measures ensure your personal and financial information remains protected at all times.

Where can I view details regarding my accounts with United Finance PLC.?

You can view details of your deposit and retail loan accounts with United Finance PLC. through the "Balance Enquiry" feature in UMA. To access account information, your registered mobile number in UMA must match the number associated with your accounts.

What happens if the mobile number I provided in UMA does not match the one associated with my loan or deposit account?

If the mobile number you used during UMA registration does not match the one registered with your loan or deposit account, you can request an update. To do so, please visit your nearest United Finance branch and submit a service request to update your registered mobile number.

Can I manage multiple accounts using UMA?

Yes, UMA allows you to manage multiple deposit and loan accounts under a single login, as long as they are registered with the same mobile number.

Can I obtain my account statement from UMA?

Yes, UMA allows you to download account statements for your deposit & retail loan accounts with United Finance via the "Balance Enquiry" feature. You can generate statements for specific date ranges, request an AIT statement for all accounts, and obtain a Balance Confirmation Certificate for a particular date.

What service requests can I generate from UMA?

Existing customers of United Finance can request or execute the following services directly from UMA:

Pay deposit instalments via our partner payment gateway (Charge Applicable)
Request encashment of a deposit account (OTP verification required)
Submit proof of submission of Income Tax Return (ITR) for the latest two financial years

Additionally, both new and existing customers can submit deposit and loan applications directly through UMA.

Are there any charges associated with using UMA?

UMA is free to use, and most features are available at no cost. However, transactions made through our partner payment gateway (such as initial deposit payments or deposit instalment payments) may incur transaction fees. Additionally, United Finance has no control over direct transactions performed by users from their own bank accounts. These transactions may be subject to additional charges (e.g., RTGS fees, fund transfer fees) as per the terms and conditions of the user's bank.

Can I apply for a new loan account using UMA?

Yes, UMA allows you to apply for various loan types, including Long Term, Short Term, Home Loan, and Loan against Deposit, directly through the application. Once your application is submitted, our team will review it and contact you to proceed with the next steps.

Can I apply for a deposit account using UMA?

Yes, you can apply for a deposit account through UMA if you are a Bangladeshi citizen, at least 18 years old, and hold a valid National ID (Old NID or Smart Card). Accounts cannot be opened with a Passport or Birth Registration through UMA; however, you may do so at any United Finance branch.

Can I apply for a joint, institutional, or minor deposit account using UMA?

No, currently only individual applicants with a valid National ID can open a deposit account through UMA. Joint, institutional, and minor accounts are not supported at this time. However, we are working to introduce these features in the near future. Currently, these types of accounts may be opened at any of United Finance’s branch.

Which types of deposit accounts can I apply for through UMA?

You can apply for a Fixed Deposit (With a minimum amount of BDT 10,000 and a minimum tenure of 3 months) and/or a Deposit Pension Scheme (With monthly instalment sizes ranging from BDT 1,000 to BDT 25,000) through UMA.

What are the required documents to open a deposit account through UMA?

To open a deposit account via UMA, the following documents are required:

Applicant’s valid National ID
Nominee’s valid National ID
Nominee’s recent photo
Applicant’s E-TIN copy (to receive TDS benefit of 10% instead of 15%)
Supporting document for bank information (MICR cheque copy or bank statement with client details)
Proof of transaction for the initial payment (for direct payments to United Finance)

Additionally, United Finance may request any further documentation as needed from time to time.

What are the steps to open a deposit account through UMA?

To open a deposit account through UMA, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to UMA using your credentials
2. Navigate to the "Deposit" menu
3. Start a new application
4. Select the branch and product details
5. Upload your National ID (NID) image (front and back side)
6. Capture a live photo for face verification
7. Upload your signature (you can either upload an image or capture it using the camera)
8. Upload the nominee’s NID image (front and back side)
9. Upload the nominee’s recent photo
10. Provide additional e-KYC information
11. Add bank information (for BEFTN pull for instalments and encashment)
12. Review your application details and make any necessary changes
13. Pay the initial deposit amount using one of the following methods:
- a. Pay via the partner payment gateway (charges applicable)
- b. Authorize United Finance for BEFTN pulling from your bank account
- c. Pay directly to United Finance PLC.'s bank account through RTGS/NPSB
14. Submit your application.

Can I save my progress of the deposit application and complete it later?

Yes, after selection of branch and product, your application progress will be automatically saved after each step. You can return to the application at any time and continue from where you left off.

Where can I find my pending deposit applications?

You can find all your previous application under “Deposit” menu.

How long does it take to open a deposit account?

Account opening process will be subject to the receipt of initial deposit amount in United Finance’s bank account, upon receipt of payment the account opening process will be completed within 2-3 working days.

I have submitted a deposit application request, when will my account be activated?

Your account will be activated once initial deposit amount is received and settled in United Finance’s bank account. Settlement is subject to terms and conditions of your bank and your selected mode of payment.

How will I know if my deposit account has been successfully opened?

Upon successful account creation, you will receive a confirmation message via SMS and email. Details of the new deposit account will be visible in app’s Home Page and Balance Enquiry sections.

How do I make monthly instalment payments for my deposit account?

All DPS accounts opened through UMA have a default BEFTN Pulling Instruction Set for monthly instalments, which you need to authorize during the account opening process. Alternatively, you can pay your monthly DPS instalment using the “Payment” service request through our partner payment gateway (charges may apply).

Can I encash my deposit account through UMA?

Yes, encashment requests can be initiated through the Service Request section. Premature encashment is subject to regulations of central bank and other regulatory authorities.

Where will I receive my encashment amount?

Once the encashment request is verified, you will receive the amount in your designated bank account provided during account opening. Settlement time may vary based on the payment mode and the processing time of your bank. Any changes to your bank information will require verification at your nearest United Finance branch, along with supporting documents and physical attendance.
